V.O.I.M.M.A. Community Reserve

Park VOIMMA, also known as the V.O.I.M.M.A. Community Reserve, is located near Andasibe in eastern Madagascar, about 130 km from Antananarivo. At this attraction, visitors can explore pristine rainforest trails and experience Madagascar’s extraordinary biodiversity up close. Activities include guided walks to observe lemurs such as the Indri and diademed sifaka, spotting reptiles like chameleons and geckos, and enjoying night walks to discover nocturnal species. Notably, the reserve was founded in 2012 by local villagers to promote ecotourism and conservation, with proceeds supporting community projects such as hospitals and water infrastructure.
