About Eburu Forest
The Eburu Forest is located just north of Lake Naivash and is a precious mountain forest ecosystem featuring diverse forest types, springs, waterfalls and steep valleys. The Eburu Forest comprises 8,715.3 hectares of prime indigenous forest area and is nestled within the folds of a geologically active volcanic mountain overlooking Lake Elementaita to the North, Lake Naivasha to the southeast and Lake Nakuru to the northwest. The forest is recognized as a hotspot for birdlife and is home to over 40 species of mammals.
