About Kawangware Community Centre
Kwangware Community Centre
In Kenya the average age of the population is 19 years and with this comes a range of challenges. And with a life expectancy of 58 years there are huge opportunities to impact on those factors that make life so difficult for so many people. The centre opened its doors in 2009. The school has 30 children aged between 2 and 6 years. One Horizon is implementing a series of programs to ensure that the children will go on to contribute to Kenya in years to come. But to be able to do that they need to be healthy. And first and foremost is that their nutrition needs have to be met. And hence the work of One Horizon delivers the most basic and fundamental requirement of all - good nutritious food every day. And beyond feeding children there are a range of other initiatives which will ensure that the children's educational outcomes set them up for a bright future with jobs.
Come along and see the work that we are doing and become part of it - there is no greater satisfaction than helping others
