About Karura Forest
Located in the northern part of Nairobi, Karura Forest is one of the largest urban gazetted forests in the world. Gazetted in 1932, the forest is managed by the Kenya Forest Service. Comprising of approximately 1041 hectares, the forest features almost all the 605 species of wildlife found in Nairobi.
