About Kenya's Coastal Reef

The coral reef which runs for more than 200 km along most of the Kenyan coastline is protected by a number of Marine Reserves and is what attracts so much marine life to the area, creating a fascinating eco-system. The brilliantly diverse and coloured coral feeds a multitude of reef fish - parrotfish, zebra fish, lion fish and angelfish to mention but a few – and turtles and these in turn attract the bigger fish, dolphins and sharks.
