The centre is located about an hour from Nairobi. And a trip to the centre will take you past communities that are as diverse as Kenya itself. The centre has about 35 young children and is a haven of refuge and a centre for learning for underprivileged children. And in 2013 the centre became part of the One Horizon family. There are a range of infrastructure programs being implemented and of course a One Horizon feeding program. This will help take great strain off the resources of the centre and help ease the burden of the founders and teachers. In Kenya, communities pull together to navigate very difficult circumstances and the centre provides children with a happy and safe environment. But the circumstances of the children in the centre are those that many people from abroad do not understand. Children in Kenya go hungry every day and often do not have a regular meal.
