About Tom Mboya’s Mausoleum

Located on Rusinga Island in Kenya, Tom Mboya’s Mausoleum was built in 1970 and is situated on family land at Kasawanga Village. Tom Mboya was one of the founding fathers of the Republic of Kenya and was laid to rest at this site after he was assassinated in 1969. His tomb and a small museum dedicated to his life can be found at the site.
