Ndere Island National Park

The Ndere Island National Park is located on Lake Victoria. The paradise island is covered in grassland and is a haven to hundreds of different bird species. Visitors can explore the island, view the winged inhabitants and enjoy expansive views of the Homa Hills and the Mageta Island. Amongst the birds on the island are black-headed gonoleks, grey-headed kingfishers, fish eagles and many more. In addition to the bird watching, visitors can see hippos, crocodiles, snakes, baboons, zebras and many more, which roam along the lakeshore.
