About Dinga Cultural Village
Typically activities at Dinga start with a guided tour of Gunitsoga village on arrival, visiting the local primary school, clinic and tribal court (kgotla) before heading to the island camp by mokoro.
During a stay at Dinga you will combine cultural activities with mokoro trips and bush walks with some game viewing on the nearby islands. You will be introduced to the villagers at Dinga cultural village and they will show you how they weave baskets, make traditional food, make bricks out of clay and tools such as axe heads by melting old vehicle springs. You will also get to try your hand at these activities yourselves. Agricultural practices such as farming with a yoke of oxen and traditional fishing methods are also demonstrated – these are real life activities, not just a tourist show.
Accommodation is in a meru tent with ensuite bathroom (bucket shower and chemical toilet) and inclusive of all meals and activities for the duration of your stay.
