Half Collared Kingfisher Trail

The Half Collared Kingfisher Trail, located within the Wilderness Section of the Garden Route National Park, offers a scenic 8 km return route through indigenous forest along the Touw River. Starting near the Ebb and Flow Rest Camp on Waterside Road, the trail features a pontoon crossing and leads to a picturesque waterfall. Hikers may encounter birdlife such as the Knysna Loerie and Fish Eagle, as well as yellowwood trees. The route is well-marked and suitable for most fitness levels. Facilities include parking, restrooms, and water at the trailhead.
