About Kurland Village
Kurland Village is a little town, nestled in a beautiful area just outside Plettenberg Bay, along the Garden Route. This township is one of destitute nature where daily life is completely different from how must of us know it.
Former police officer, Pieter Janse Van Rensburg has spent several years and mostly his personal resources to uplift the community of Kurland Village. He has among other efforts, built a clubhouse for the local rugby club, where he also is the coach of 'The Jaguars', he organizes dance evenings, helps Johanna with her Soup Kitchen and he teaches seniors how to grow cauliflower and spinach in their gardens. In short: Pieter is doing a fantastic job!
Experience an African way of life by going on a tour with Pieter. You will explore interesting facts about the Xhosa history and the daily lives of the people from Kurland Village. Meet the local children at the crèche and be entertained by their beautiful voices in song.
