Annandale Wine Tasting

Annandale is said to be the oldest farm in the premium red-wine-producing Helderberg Valley. This historic wine farm is where visitors can enjoy Annandale Wine Tasting. The owner and fifth-generation winemaker, Hempies Du Toit, is an ex-Western Province and Springbok rugby player who enjoys making wine as much as he enjoyed playing rugby. Visitors can choose from various wine-tasting options, including a Port tasting, and also have the option of pairing the wines with a delicious cheese and charcuterie platter or even a traditional South African braai (barbeque). Some of the wines tasted include cabernet sauvignon, merlot and shiraz with visitors also able to purchase wines from the onsite shop.
