About Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre Cheetah Run & 2 Hour Guided Tour

The Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre in De Wildt Brits is a conservation and breeding sanctuary for cheetahs, African wild dogs and various other animals. The centre was established in 1971 and has since bred over 800 cheetah cubs.

One of the activities offered is the Cheetah Run & 2 Hour Guided Tour which takes place at 08h00 every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. After an introduction by the guide, guests walk to the cheetah run area to witness the remarkable speeds these cats achieve, using a 100-metre long pulley system. This forms an integral part of the cheetah's wellness regime.

After the cheetah run, visitors then depart in the open tour vehicles for a drive around the farm, to view the caracal, vultures, wild dogs and more cheetahs on the property. This tour includes a drive to the cheetah and wild dog camp to see them feed and perhaps get a glimpse of the king cheetahs.
