SARADA Rock Painting Site

The province is the largest and the most sparsely populated province in South Africa. IT lies to the south of its most important asset, the mighty Orange River, which feeds the agriculture and alluvial diamonds industries. The capital is Kimberley. The province has both rock engravings and paintings . This is not a soft, gentle landscape. The wide open spaces and distant horizons are characterised by crisp dry air, clear skies, dazzling sunsets, brilliant starry nights, outcroppings of haphazard rock piles and enormous sheep farms.
