About State Mines Golf Course

State Mines Country Club is one of the top 100 golf courses in South Africa as selected by Golf Digest. Commissioned in 1909 by the State Mines Gold Mining Company as a 9-hole recreational facility for company employees, it was subsequently upgraded and today the course features 18 holes with a putting green, as well as a clubhouse offering a bar and function rooms. State Mines Country Club is one of only four championship golf courses within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area and is consistently rated amongst the best courses in the country.
