Shangana Midday Tour

Fantastic midday tours can be arranged over lunchtime and they follow the same format as the daytime tours, but the significant difference is the participation by guests in the traditional meal which is served in the Chief's Kraal. After visiting the mystical kraal and the sangoma (traditional healer), guests are taken to the main kraal where a full traditional lunch is served which has been specially prepared by Chief Israel Ngobeni's family for his visitors. The wives of the Chief wash the hands of the guests, and then the pots of food are brought from the fire and served. For larger groups, the families from surrounding villages perform their famed Shangana muchongolo dance and on special request, a choir or marimba band can be arranged to add a different dimension to the entertainment and festivities.
