Shangana Day Tour with Interaction Drumming

The Shangana Cultural Village lies midway between the Blyde River Canyon and the southern Kruger National Park. The trained guides lead visitors through the forest to the working village (Xintu) to meet the Shangana families and experience their customs and traditions. Guests also meet the Chief and have an opportunity to visit the village's traditional healer (sangoma) in the mystical kraal.

The tours depart every hour from 09h00 to 16h00 daily. After socialising with the villagers each guest receives a traditional African Djembe drum and participants are led by the experienced and fun village drummers in an hour of exhilarating and energetic drumming.
