Elephant Sanctuary Trunk-in-Hand Program

The Elephant Sanctuary, situated in Hazyview, South Africa, offers guests a trunk-in-hand program. Guests are guided in small groups on foot through the Elephant Sanctuary. Guides provide in-depth information and insight about African elephants and will introduce guests to the elephants in the forest area. Under the supervision of the guides, guests are able to touch and interact with the elephants. The elephants are fed by the guides as well as the guests. Guests can walk trunk-in-hand with the elephants as well as see the stables where the elephants sleep at night, guides teach guests about the elephant's anatomy. There is an on-site curio shop that sells refreshments.
