La Rochelle Tours Full Day Franschhoek Walking & Wine Tour

La Rochelle Tours, in association with Cape Hiking, are offering guests a unique combination of a walking and wine tasting tour in the beautiful Franschhoek Wine Valley. In the morning, clients hike from the top of the Franschhoek Pass into the mountains. Guests will either follow the Cats Pad path down to the Jan Joubertsgat Bridge or hike up towards the Uitkyk with its fantastic views over the Wemmershoek Mountains. After completing the hike, guests have enough time for a shower and lunch before being collected from their Franschhoek guest house or hotel for an afternoon wine tour of the Franschhoek region. During the half-day tour, guests will learn more about the history of the Franschhoek Wine Region and will taste some of the varieties on offer in this valley. Throughout the wine tour, guests will experience some of the breathtaking beauty that the Cape Winelands has to offer. Trained tour guides conduct the tours, so guests will learn more about wine and the winemaking process while having fun at the same time. The tour groups are small, with no more than 10 guests per vehicle. On the half-day wine tours, guests can expect to visit between 2 to 3 wine estates and taste between 5 to 8 wines per estate.
