Fish Eagle Hiking Trail

The Fish Eagle Hiking Trail is located on the Van Loveren wine estate in the beautiful Robertson Valley. The 7.5km biodiversity trail features informative signage and takes hikers along the river and through various types of veld typical to the area. Vast natural areas on the farm are left relatively untouched and visitors have a good chance of spotting Fish Eagles along with a wide variety of other bird species and indigenous fauna and flora. Visitors will also see a rare rock formation which was shaped around 1.3 million years ago by molten magma which cooled to form the unique pipe formation.
