Arangieskop Hiking Trail

The Arangieskop Hiking trail is a challenging trek in the Langeberg Mountain Range located within the Dassieshoek Nature Reserve near Robertson in the Breede River Valley region. The first day of the 22 km, 2-day hiking trail starts with a challenging 9.5 km climb which ends at the overnight hut 200 m below the summit. The stone hut offers stunning views over the valley and has good facilities which include flushing toilets and a donkey boiler for hot showers – the perfect place to rest and re-charge for the 11 km descent the next day. Both parts of the trail allow the opportunity to enjoy the excellent views and the downhill trail offers the opportunity for a cooling dip in the swimming hole at the bottom of the ravine.
