Zebra River Lodge Fossil Visit

Situated on 12,500 hectares of private farmland deep in the Tsaris Mountains of southern Namibia, Zebra River Lodge offers breathtaking scenery and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. The area is also of international interest because it is the site of the discovery of the oldest fossils of stromatolites and namacalatus (the very first living organisms with a shell) ever to be found in the world. The lodge offers excursions to the site in a 4X4 vehicle with a knowledgeable guide who will regale guests with information on this fascinating natural phenomenon.
