Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway

Connecting Mombassa, the largest port in East Africa, to Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway supports passenger and cargo transportation. The railway line covers a distance of 480 kilometres and shortens the travel time between the cities from 10 hours to just over 4 hours. The line opened in May 2017 and stops at a total of 9 stations including the Mombassa and Nairobi Terminus.
