About Big Cave Campsite
Bordering Matopos National Park, Big Cave Campsite offers a range of campsites for both the 4 x 4 outdoor enthusiast as well as over land truck companies.
The Big Cave campsite is situated only 3 km off the main tarmac road, and is easily accessible (including large camper vans as well as 4 x 4 caravans). The camp site is divided into specific sites designed for the overland trucks, as well as a number of private sites for the 4 x 4 enthusiast.
Park fees need not be paid to access the camp site. The campsite is 49 Km's from Bulawayo, 105 km's from the Plumtree border, and 370 km's from the Beitbridge border.
This beautiful camp site is located 2 km from the National Park boundary, with wonderful views down the valley into the National Park. Access is through a separate gate which can accommodate large vehicles.

Campsite Private Vehicles
Big Cave Camp is pleased to be able to offer 4 x 4 guests with private vehicles / caravans a number of camp sites with a separate male and female ablution facility and a separate bar area called " the Bhalu " on the Big Cave property. In addition there is 24 hour a day 220 volt electricity supplied through solar, as well a water point at each campsite. Firewood is also provided.
Campsite Overland Trucks
We are happy to be able to accommodate up to three overland truck berths to our overland market. We supply 220 volt electricity 24 hours a day from solar, as well as water points and firewood. Each overland site has its own cooking area. We have a separate large ablution block with separate men and ladies, as well as a large communal kitchen which allows guests to dine under a roof if there is inclement weather. The Bhalu bar area is also available for drinks and entertainment.
