Gache Gache Lodge

Gache Gache lodge is situated in the eastern basin of Lake Kariba on the banks of the Gache Gache River. The lodge is accessible by boat, plane or 4x4 vehicle, so no excuses!!
All nine chalets, and two tented rooms accommodate guests in a private & intimate way, overlooking the tranquil river. The tents have a double bed and bunk beds in them to make cosy family rooms. (en suite). We have ablutions for our 4x4 enthusiasts who prefer to camp.

The lodges are rustic in style, each with en-suite facilities, and their own private verandahs, which allow you to encounter the incredible sights & sounds of the river & wildlife close by. All chalets have fans, powered by generator.

The main lodge houses the dining room, lounge & bar area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking views.

Guests can relax by the swimming pool, or be taken out by the professional guide for game viewing by boat or vehicle, for a close-up viewing of elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, eland, impala, bushbuck, waterbuck and possibly lion. Guests can try their hands at fishing for the exciting Tiger or the delicious tasting Bream fish, or morning or evening walks, birdwatching outings or simply a sundowner cruise along the shores of the lake! Clay Pigeon shooting is also available. Gache Gache lodge is renowned for its incredible variety of birdlife. A vist to Gache Gache's very own BIRD ISLAND around roosting time - is worth the while! and, your sunset photos will be stunning. Come create amazing memories with us!
