Mapazi Camp

Mapezi Camp is offered by Surefoot Safaris and is nestled under mature trees on the banks of the Luangwa River. The centre piece of Mapazi is the canvas Chitenje, an open-sided tent has been carefully assembled around the huge boughs of a majestic Sausage Tree to create a cool bar and comfortable lounge area. The tents have large gauze panels for an all-round view and a shaded porch with a seating area. Each tent includes a private bathroom with a river view and includes a flushing lavatory, shower and basin with hot and cold water. Morning coffee and light breakfast are enjoyed on the banks of the Luangwa River as the sun rises. A brunch or early lunch is served beneath the shade of a Sausage Tree. Guests dine in the Chitenje, by the campfire or on moonlight banks of the Luangwa.
