About Bugoma Jungle Lodge

Bugoma Jungle Lodge is the first tourism accommodation to be open in Bugoma Forest Reserve, Kikuube District in Uganda. The name is after this hidden and off the beaten tracks tropical forest reserve of Bugoma, which is the habitat of an incredible biodiversity, from the chimpanzees to the endemic Uganda mangabey. This location is the best stop over along the tourist route between Murchison Falls and Kibale National Parks.

Bugoma Jungle Lodge is an eco-lodge, where all aspects of environmental protection, conservation and creativity are taken to high importance. The rooms are raised en-suite wooden deck cottages, grass thatched roof and spacious tents. From your private balcony, enjoy the typical tea while watching the movements of primates and flying of birds.e on-site restaurant and bar. Activities include nature walks and tree planting.

You will be impressed by the sounds of birds, monkeys and primates, the calls of bush babies at night all surrounding you. Observe the pristine vegetation from the upstairs view point veranda.

Our cottages are wooden platform tented cottages with grass thatched roofs, private bathroom and panoramic balcony. The eco-lodge concept is on the choice of materials, from commercial timber and poles, local red bricks, grass for the roof, canvas. Electricity is provided by solar panels and the water heater is also solar. The cottage is furnished with two single beds for a twin room. Handmade soaps and refillable dispensers for shampoo and gels are our imprint of sustainability. Drinking water is provided free of charge in glass bottles.
