About Songa, Auberge Safari
Sprawled across a hillside in the Serengeti’s Kogatende region, Songa gazes out over a landscape that shifts from gentle undulation into the endless expanse of the national park’s iconic savannahs. A camp that captures the spirit of adventure in canvas and vintage character, Songa is where the Great Migration's crossing season is experienced at its most raw. The wild doesn't whisper here — it surges as hooves thunder across the plains and charge through fast-flowing waters.
The ten tented rooms open onto the sunrise. Custom antique-inspired furnishings lend the interiors a vintage feel, while king beds fitted with bespoke linen prioritize comfort. During the day, the canvas lounges stand open to the breeze and come night, conversation carries around the campfire and the dinner table as the Serengeti slips into stillness.
Here, days start with freshly-brewed coffee and play out at the rhythm of the wild as you follow the herds with your private guide and vehicle. Picnic lunches unfold in unforgettable settings, and sundowners are poured as the light turns gold over Kogatende.

Tented Rooms
Songa has 10 en-suite tented rooms, each with an indoor shower, flushing toilet and double vanity. All tented rooms can be set up as twin/king and can accommodate an extra bed.

Breakfast
Enjoy a continental-style spread of fresh fruits, cereals, homemade yogurt, and freshly baked pastries. A selection of hot breakfasts are also on offer.
