About Bashay Rift Lodge
Set on top of Umbwe Hill, Bashay Rift Lodge is ideally located in the heart of the fertile Karatu area, only a few kilometers away from the Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge offers breathtaking 360° views over the Karatu area, Lake Eyasi and the Rift Valley. All 32 rooms are spread in the wide and lovely garden and are decorated in a warm "Farm in Africa" style.
Leading off the beautiful garden terrace with commanding views over the valley, the main bar & lounge with its fire place is the perfect gathering point for sunsets and after the meals.
The elegant main restaurant with its terrace as well as the pergola close to the pool area offer traditional Tanzanian and international cuisine.
The guests’ favorite spot after a day of dust and heat in the bush is the modern swimming pool, equipped with an eco-friendly water system. The pool area enjoys the sun for most of the day and the warmth can be felt long after sunset.
