Freedom and connection are the foundations of Forest Chem Chem where you will find 3 vintage-style tents and a family suite. Only available as a private camp, Forest Chem Chem is ideal for those travelling together looking for space to explore.

Each large, double tent offers a king-size bed (which can be converted to twins) and the double-sized family tent offers both a king and a twin bedroom. Each en-suite bathroom includes an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a vanity, toilet and dressing area.

Forest Chem Chem is the opportunity to experience a bush camp of your own. Here, in the heart of Tanzania, are some of the most densely populated wildlife areas the country has to offer. This is due to our proximity to not one, but two national parks, and the resurrection of an ancient migratory corridor through this land as a result of the conservation work by the Chem Chem Foundation.

Enjoy your choice of continental-style fresh fruits, cereals, homemade yoghurt, and freshly baked pastries. We also offer a selection of hot breakfasts.

Lunch is a selection of 'family-style' sharing plates for the table. Dinner is a 3-course set menu.
Ponya: Our specially designed ‘Ponya’ (meaning ‘to heal’ in Swahili) breakfast, lunch and dinner menus spotlight health-centric dishes made from nutrient-rich, freshly sourced ingredients (including herbs from our garden).

Enjoy lunch, dinner, or sundowners in the al fresco dining areas within the camp.

Picnic breakfasts or lunches can be packed in hampers for full-day activities. We also pack hampers for morning coffee stops and sundowners.

Swap the camp setting for an intimate lantern-lit dinner beneath the branches of an ancient baobab tree. Here, you’ll swap stories around the campfire before tucking into a special multi-course meal prepared on-site by our team of chefs.
