Wilderness Bushcamp

Aloe Suite is a spacious apartment, fitted with American shutters. It has a queen-sized bed, kitchenette, lounge and breakfast area, a private entrance and patio garden with ocean views.

Aloe Studio is our smallest unit and is perfectly equipped for short stays. A cosy space with all the necessities for basic self-catering and a private deck with glass balustrade, allowing uninterrupted views of the ocean – without leaving your bed.

A wooden boardwalk leads to this open plan log cabin, perfect for the adventure-loving family, with a double bed on the ground floor and 3 single beds in the loft. No television/Wi-Fi means a real break away from the digital overload of day to day life...

Hideaway Cottage offers rustic charm with no TV or Wi-Fi, just an abundance of peace and quiet. The only thing likely to disturb you is the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below, or an inquisitive Loerie bird on your private wooden deck...

Sunrise Ridge is perfectly positioned to enjoy the sunrise from the private wooden deck overlooking the ocean & lagoon.The cabin is rustic but comfortable with a sitting area,kitchenette,double bedroom,bathroom with shower,and private braai area.No Wi-Fi.

Lagoon View is a cosy wooden cabin with unsurpassable views over the ocean and lagoon.Accommodating up to 4 people,guests can enjoy the warmth of the indoor fireplace or a braai on the private deck,while listening to the ocean rolling in.No Wi-Fi.

Forest Rise is a beautifully appointed cottage with two en-suite bedrooms, open-plan lounge, fireplace and dining area, fitted kitchen and private deck with stone-built braai,offering views over the ocean and lagoon. There's also a slide for the children.

Bird Haven offers modern comfort in a tranquil setting, with views over indigenous forest, lakes, lagoon and ocean. Two en-suite rooms, open-plan living area, fitted kitchen, dining and sitting area with fireplace, and a braai on the private deck.

The Loft offers an abundance of ocean views and elegant comfort. This is open plan living at its finest. The Loft encompasses dining, living, sleeping and bathroom areas, with no walls or doors to interrupt the beautiful flow of space and light. A soak in the roll top bath can be accompanied by your favourite MNet movie or views over the Ocean. This wonderful space can be enjoyed whatever the weather. There’s nothing more majestic than watching an electrical storm roll out over the ocean as you relax on the couch or lie back on the king size bed, or watch the dolphins surf from the backline and enjoy the best whale spotting window in the region.

Our newest addition to the Bushcamp is a beautifully appointed cabin on the very top of the hill. Two that are identical. Two bedrooms per unit, both en-suite. Historically, this area marked the uppermost section of a Bird Sanctuary, and the surrounding fynbos and vegetation still teems with an abundance of birdlife. Bird Haven has been carefully designed to offer rustic charm and modern comfort in this most tranquil of settings, with views over the indigenous forest to one side and a sweeping vista over the lakes, lagoon and ocean from the covered deck. The living area is comfortably equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, log burning stove, dining area and sitting area. Outside, the private deck with stone-built braai offers uninterrupted views of the whole of the Wilderness.

Lagoon View is one of our most popular cabins, with a private deck that offers the best views of Wilderness lagoon. There’s no better place to watch the sun rise while you enjoy your early morning cup of coffee… Slightly bigger than the neighbouring ‘Sunset Ridge’ (sleeps two) – this cabin offers accommodation for up to 4 people in one double room and one twin room. Sunset Ridge and Lagoon View are set on a 2-hectare portion of the estate, which allows guests the opportunity to stroll in open areas and enjoy the views from the very top of the hill. Once the sun has set you can enjoy the warmth of the indoor fireplace or light a fire in the braai on your private deck.

Loerie Cabin: A cosy cottage with accommodation on 3 levels and a private deck that offers total privacy and uninterrupted views of the ocean. Wooden steps lead down to the front door of Loerie Cabin, which then leads into the kitchen with breakfast bar. Upstairs, the cosy loft has two single beds, tucked under the eaves, and porthole views of Wilderness beach. The wooden steps to this loft area are quite steep, so not suitable for small children. The main sleeping area is located on the lower level and from here you can walk out onto the private wooden deck. The deck can only be accessed from the cabin, so you can enjoy total seclusion and uninterrupted views of the ocean while you relax and enjoy your evening sundowners. Honeymoon Cottage: Tucked away in the heart of the Bushcamp, this cabin earned its name after guests started requesting ‘the honeymoon cottage’. Discreetly located at the end of a wooden walkway and hidden amongst dense bush, this is the perfect choice for those who don’t want to be disturbed… Many of our guests have chosen this cottage as their honeymoon destination; enjoying the privacy, seclusion and beautiful ocean views. Once settled in, the only thing likely to disturb you is the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below, or an inquisitive Loerie bird on your private wooden deck, which has panoramic views over Kaaimans River, Vic Bay and along Wilderness beach all the way to Gericke’s point.
