Imagine having the opportunity to experience what it’s like to stay on a family-run, working dairy farm? At Libertas Guest Farm, this is exactly what you get.
Choose from two incredible accommodation options, each with their own unique country charm: a 150 year old farmstead that has been lovingly renovated to create a comfortable and spacious space, as well as a luxury converted dairy that offers amazing views of the Outeniqua Mountains and the dam. Each has been beautifully decorated to reflect a sense of calm, while simultaneously being modern and welcoming. Wood combines with concrete, exposed bricks and soothing colours and textures to produce gorgeous and comfortable sanctuaries.
The Farmhouse boasts its original yellowwood beams and sleeps a total of 10 people. There’s an open-plan loft area that has a play area for the kids, with other features including a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, choice of three braai areas, an outside shower, kids’ jungle gym and three verandas with fantastic views. The Dairy has a relaxed and comfortable feel and can sleep a six. The combined, open-plan living and kitchen areas open onto a veranda complete with braai area and gorgeous views. A recently completed pool and wooden deck is a fabulous addition to the house, providing the ideal place to hang out during the summer.
The Hoekwil area is a huge attraction for nature lovers. There are plenty of outdoor activities for young and old, including bird-watching, hiking, canoeing, surfing, mountain-biking and paragliding, to name but a few. Libertas offers you the opportunity to explore all the exciting things to do in the area, while at the same time being a tranquil retreat perfect for unwinding and doing nothing.
