About Tenikwa Lodge

Nature lovers & wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the natural beauty of our property at Tenikwa Nature Lodge with forest and fynbos walks to enjoy whilst you share the space that the wild cats of Tenikwa call Home. Staying with us at Tenikwa is a unique wildlife experience. Our accommodation is enhanced by amenities that encourage our guests to unwind, relax and enjoy the tranquil natural surroundings, including a boma, sundowner deck, several dams teaming with waterfowl and the call of our lions and leopard as the sun sets.

The Homestead is the original manor house of the founders of Tenikwa. It is decorated with the memories of Tenikwa animals and original African artwork and collectibles. Four spacious and elegant rooms have views of the dam, forest, inner courtyard or landscaped gardens. Adjacent to The Homestead is The Suites with spacious en-suite units with their own patios and entrances. Our newly introduced lion cabins are located just metres from our lions night camp.

On most nights, dinner is served el-fresco in the boma.

Tenikwa Lodge King Room 1
A spacious room in the Tenikwa Homestead which is tastefully furnished with décor and finishes that reflect the essence and history of Tenikwa. This King Room has a King size bed with mosquito netting, fan, coffee station, en-suite bathroom and seating area. Poly percal linen and towels provided. Your stay includes breakfast. One room has views of the dam and mountains, the other room of gardens and indigenous forest.
Tenikwa Queen Room 1
This lovely, spacious room has a queen-size bed and a day bed to relax on. It has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and basin. The room has lovely views of the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest.
Tenikwa King Room 2

Tenikwa Lodge Queen 2
This lovely, spacious room has a queen-size bed and a day bed to relax on. It has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and basin. The room has lovely views of the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest.
Family Suite 2
Family Suite Rooms consists of 2 three quarter beds and an ensuite bathroom. The family suites includes a tv and coffee and tea making facility with your own enclosed patio. The units have a view over the garden and dam, and in close proximity to the boma and viewing deck. Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch and dinneres can be arranged. You can book wildlife tours at reception.
Family Suite 5
The Family Suite comprises an en-suite room with a queen-size bed and a single bed and has its own en-suite bathroom and patio. Unit 5 has an adjoining door to the next unit which caters for another child making it ideal for families. All units have en-suite bathrooms with shower facilities. The family suites include a tv and coffee and tea making facility with your own enclosed patio. The units have a view over the garden and dam, and in close proximity to the boma and viewing deck. Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch and dinneres can be arranged. You can book wildlife tours at reception.
Family Suite 3

The Homestead Villa
A luxury multi-room villa with its own private lounge. This is not a self-catering facility. No children allowed. Each of the four en-suite rooms has its own tea-making facilities. A large undercover Veranda overlooks a dam teeming with wildlife. The villa has a small fenced garden.
