About The Hideaway
A national monument and one of the oldest houses in Swellendam, the Hideaway Guest House boasts four very spacious and elegant individually decorated rooms in a lush, green garden setting with amazing views of the Langeberg mountains.
All rooms are air-conditioned and furnished with fine handcrafted furniture, antiques and beautiful original paintings, prints and photographs. They all have fully stocked minibars, a large selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate, homemade shortbread, a decanter of Port and one of Muscadel. DSTV and free WI-FI throughout. Laundry is free for guests staying more than one night. Our gardens are stocked with hundreds of scented roses and we have the largest natural swimming pool in South Africa, filled with fresh pure water which makes the skin feel soft and hydrated after swimming. Our guest lounge and stoep have fabulous mountain views, full wifi audiovisual, air conditioning, fireplace and are situated amongst orchards and olive groves with a stream running between banks of arum lilies and agapanthus. Guests can relax on sun loungers throughout the gardens and stroll through the beautiful rose walk enjoying the peace and tranquility of The Hideaway. Lounge available for functions, meetings, luncheon and dinner parties by arrangement.
