About Hermitage Huisies
Our little farm, in the picturesque Hermitage Valley, is situated just 2km’s outside of Swellendam at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, an area well known for its spectacular views, tranquillity, abundant outdoor activities and pretty Berry Farms.
The Zaayman Family would love for you to share a little piece of our heaven and stay a while in one of the 4 self-catering cottages on the farm.
All our cottages are furnished with all the necessities. You will be glad to know each cottage comes with an essential Braai area and all our adult beds are equipped with pocket spring mattresses for your sleeping pleasure. All our cottages are fitted with free WIFI. We offer a salt water communal swimming pool with the best view in town!
We do allow very well behaved dogs at an extra charge, but please note that none of our cottages are enclosed and we do hold horses, sheep and other animals on our farm.
There's much to see and do in and around Swellendam. We really do have it all: Horse Trailing, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Boat Cruises, Game Viewing, Bird Watching, Berry Picking and much more!

Spacious studio cottage close to the pool. Similar to Guinea Fowl but with a larger living/sleeping area.

Rose Cottage
Century old farm cottage made postcard-perfect with green fields, dramatic mountains and adjacent farm dam. Indoor Fireplace, Wi-Fi, TV. Outdoor BBQ.
Sleeps up to 5 people - Suitable for 4 single adults or 2/3 adults with children. Two bedrooms.
River Cottage
More private and away from the others.The setting is bliss: a trickling stream, green grass, a shady avocado tree and indoor fireplace with outdoor river stone braai. One bedroom. Sofa bed in livingroom. Best Suitable 2 adults with/without kids. Wi-Fi.
