The symbolic significance of the water lily is abundantly themed in this eclectic, colourful suite. Our signature water lily linen print tells the story of a botanical that thrives on the biodiverse life in our farm’s river beds and ponds, beyond. Vibrant saffron, golds, and greens give this suite its distinctive handwriting, while fascinating stories are woven into the detail. From the antique-inspired four-poster bed custom built from reclaimed materials to the handwoven carpets, you’re surrounded by punchy visual style and timeless elegance. Each villa has a heated pool and outdoor entertainment area set

three-bedroom residences combine the space of a private
home with all the advantages of a hotel stay. A dedicated
service team includes a private chef, offering guests the
freedom to tailor every aspect of their stay.
Generously proportioned and thoughtfully appointed, the
ground floor of each villa encourages a relaxed lifestyle with an
open-plan dining room, living room and fully equipped kitchen.
There is also a pantry stocked with snacks and drinks, and a

Good food, good company and our time-crafted wines are brought to life at Veld. Rooted in the rhythms of the earth, our menu follows the seasons, with ingredients grown in our gardens, raised on our pastures, and sourced from local farmers who share our love for nutrient-rich produce. Dishes are generous, nourishing and full of integrity – respectful of South African flavours and the ingredients that make them shine.

Grab delicious ready-to-eat favourites or build your own picnic and enjoy the Werf and our farm’s other outdoor spaces. Before you head home, stock up your pantry and fridge. The delicious assortment on offer includes:
• Chef Hennie’s hassle-free and hearty frozen ready meals — including beef lasagna, bolognaise, bobotie and aubergine parmigiana
• Vadas’s famous sourdough bread, tarts, pies and pastries — all made with local, stoneground organic flour
• Farmer Angus’s flavoursome beef, pork and eggs — all from happy animals reared on Spier’s pastures the natural way: without growth hormones or routine antibiotics
• Freshly harvested fruit, veg and leaves are grown in the Spier Food Garden without artificial fertilisers or pesticides

Spier Picnics
Our delicious, farm-inspired picnics change with the seasons. We source as many ingredients as possible from our own farm and trusted local producers. Baskets must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance at www.spier.co.za and may be collected between 12.00 and 14.00 from the Picnickery. Plant-based baskets are available.
Grab delicious ready-to-eat favourites or build your own picnic and enjoy the Werf and our farm’s other outdoor spaces.
Our farm offers many gorgeous spots for you to enjoy your picnic. Where will it be – by the dam, or under the oaks? The choice is yours. Although the picnic spaces are public, group bookings can be accommodated in semi-private areas if booked in advance.

Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery
Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery offers dishes that embrace and showcase the quality of ethically and locally sourced ingredients. A passion for cooking with fire and smoke takes centre stage with a delicious range of pasture-reared meats (many of which are supplied by Spier’s Farmer Angus). The meat is smoked low and slow – at a low temperature for a long period of time – and this method allows lesser-known cuts of meat like beef brisket, pork neck and lamb shoulder to be used. There are delicious organic vegetarian options too.
The restaurant overlooks the rolling lawns and ancient oaks of Spier’s meticulously restored Werf – perfect for the kids to run wild on. Sharing is encouraged, with family-style platters that can be ordered for the table.
The bakery produces slow-fermented, fresh sourdough breads as well as a selection of seasonal fruit pies and pastries baked daily.

Wine Tasting
Award-winning wine is paired with innovative food at Spier’s Tasting Room which is located on the banks of the Spier dam, with stunning views of the Helderberg Mountains. Wine is available for sale at cellar door prices. The Tasting Room’s retail space offers wine-related products, locally-made homeware, gifts and books.
