About Soverby Guest House

When you choose Soverby for your accommodation, you will sleep in what was once a wine cellar, built in 1907 by the Joubert Family. Later the cellar was converted into a stable, and as farming methods changed and co-operative wineries were established, the rooms each took on yet another new purpose. "So-verby" means "just beyond" beyond the border of Cape Town and Stellenbosch. By coincidence it has an appropriate meaning in Danish too, "Sleep village". Soverby Guest House opened its doors to the public on May 1996 and since then, Gielie, Dolly and the staff count themselves fortunate to have met so many people and made so many friends.

This Family Suite consists of 2 bedrooms, first is an interleading room with 2 single beds, 2nd room with a queen sized bed, bathroom with a shower, fridge, free WIFI coffee/tea making facilites with homebaked rusks and access to the swimming pool.
6 Sleeper Family Room
This Family Suite consists of 2 bedrooms, Bedroom 1 has a Queen sized bed (downstairs), Bedroom 2 has 3 Single Beds (upstairs), bathroom with a shower (en-suite Bedroom 1) with TV & M-Net, fridge, free WIFI, coffee/tea making facilities, access to pool.
Honeymoon Suite
This room consists of a Queen Size Bed, Victorian bath and shower as well as a fireplace for those chilly nights. TV & M-Net, fridge, free WIFI, coffee/tea making facilites with homebaked rusks, access to the swimming pool.
Self-catering Cottage 1
Open-plan room upstairs with queen size bed & 2 single beds. Downstairs is kitchen, lounge and full bathroom. Patio with Braai facility. Access to swimming pool. Full guest amenities, tea/coffee tray, mini bar. Free safe parking. View over lake.
Self-catering Cottage 2
Bedroom upstairs with double bed. Downstairs is bedroom with 2 single/king beds. Lounge with sleeper couch, kitchen & full bathroom. Patio with Braai facility. Access to pool. Tea/coffee tray, mini bar. Free safe parking. View over lake.
