While a 4x4 vehicle is not necessary, a vehicle with higher ground clearance is recommended for a smoother journey.

River Kaya boasts three distinct accommodation options: The Fish Eagle self-catering house, which comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests; The Woodpecker's Shack, with space for 8 guests; and The Kiewiet, which can host up to 6 guests.
