About Avani Private Nature Reserve and Lodge
We are renowned for the tranquillity of our environment, and the abundance of fynbos species within the reserve.
Our self-catering thatched strawbale & cob rondavels, each with its own private wood-burning Hot Tub & braai, provide comfort, privacy and easy access to nature walks, outside barbeques and splendid views.
We provide everything you need; bedding and towels, wood, barbeque grids and utensils, crockery and cutlery.
We do not provide bath/shower soap, shampoo, salt & pepper, tea & coffee, extra firelighters etc. Please bring all consumables.
It is our mission to provide our guests with privacy, tranquillity and the freedom to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
The outdoor communal swimming pool area is ideal for the shared enjoyment of all guests.
House Rules:
No babies or children allowed due to the exposed Hot Tubs & Wood burning stoves.
No pets allowed.
Please note each unit (except Parrastoel for up to 6 people) is set up for two people only.
We regret the property is not wheelchair-friendly due to steps and the rough terrain.
We adhere to a low / no-noise policy.
No smoking inside units.
Outside smokers: Please place stubs in the bin, not in the veld.
Absolutely no day visitors allowed.
We have a friendly resident cat, Sebastian, which roams around freely.

Price per unit. Being predominantly cob-build, the temperature inside is very moderate. Named after a very tasty mushroom, Hedgehog will surprise you with amazing views in a tranquil setting. Only 2 persons per unit. No Children. No pets.

Cob-rondavels being predominantly cob-build, the temperature inside is very moderate. Staying in this cob-rondavel will awaken your senses to serenity and space. Only 2 persons per unit. No children. No pets.
Avani Lodge - Oyster
Cob-rondavels being predominantly cob-build, the temperature inside is very moderate. Oyster provides a spacious atmosphere to recharge your batteries. Only 2 persons per unit. Wood-burning hot tub and fireplace/braai. No Children. No pets.
Avani Lodge - Hen Of The Wood
Cob-rondavels being predominantly cob-build, the temperature inside is very moderate. Hen-of-the-wood provides a private hot tub in a cosy and sublime atmosphere to recharge your batteries. Only 2 persons per unit. No Children. No pets.
Avani Lodge - Parrastoel
Parrastoel is a large private unit set on the top of a hill with endless vistas. It can sleep up to 6 people. It consists of 2 en-suite bedrooms and an indoor wood-burning hot tub and fireplace/braai. No Children. No pets.

Truffle – A unit for Family and Friends. Sleeps up to 4.
