About Swartberg Country Manor

Nestled on the farm Voorbedacht at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains (International listed heritage site) with a panoramic view of the world-renowned Swartberg Pass.

Both original farmhouses have been converted into luxury accommodation. The historical house (dated 1864) features 4 en-suite guest rooms with “brooky lace” finishes and Oregon Pine floors and Ceilings. The Main house offers 11 en-suite guest rooms emanating a warm “earthy ambiance and warm natural wood and slate finishes.
Peace, Tranquil and Serenity are three units each consisting of three en-suite rooms. These units are built to resemble the traditional Karoo Style.
The Guesthouse offers convenient access to the following landmarks: Cango Caves, Swartberg Pass, Cango Ostrich Farm and the Garden Route.

Luxury twin or double room with en-suite bathroom. Beautiful Mountain views. Twin beds can be converted to King-sized beds. there is shower only with complimentary toiletries.
Historical House
The Historical House has four enchanting rooms overlooking a fig orchard. Shower / bath in the rooms, complimentary toiletries and mountain views to enjoy for your convenience. Elegantly appointed rooms are available with either twin or King-sized beds, while a spacious triple room is also available for added comfort and convenience.
Main House
The Main House features 11 stylishly appointed rooms, each designed for comfort and elegance, with sweeping panoramic mountain views enjoyed from the open-plan lounge. All Twin rooms can effortlessly be converted into plush King-sized beds, ensuring a restful and tailored stay.
Honeymoon Suite - Tannie Stien's Cottage
The Cottage is definitely one of our most special and sought after honeymoon suites. It has a double bed and own private en-suite bathroom with a standalone bath, It also has its own fireplace inside. On the private patio is a secluded outdoor shower.
