African Hills Safari Lodge & Spa is situated on the Plumari Private Reserve, approximately 15 km from Magaliesberg and just over an hour from Johannesburg or Pretoria. It offers guests a memorable wildlife experience within a malaria-free environment.

The Reserve is set within a pristine wilderness of 6800 hectares with natural African bushveld and an abundance of flora, fauna, bird and wildlife. Choose from an array of exciting activities including game drives, elephant trails, and hiking trails.

Standard Rooms
The interior of our rooms captures the romance and essence of ‘Africa meets Antique Dutch’ with décor pieces dating back to the 1800s. Slipper baths, wash stands, luggage chests, antique oregon cupboards and tables are subtly placed within the luxury four-star surrounding, to emphasise the captivating history of the Magaliesberg area. The dark grey exteriors blend effortlessly with the natural surrounds while spacious patios (stoeps) provide a respite from the warm day after a game drive. Room amenities include a patio with view of the dam, mountains or landscaped gardens, patio furniture, a full en-suite bathroom with a deep soaking bathtub and separate shower, bathrobes & slippers, luxury bathroom amenities, mini bars (stocked on request), air-conditioning and heating, TV with limited DSTV channels, electronic safe and wireless internet in certain areas or rooms. Room service is on request basis and for limited hours.
Deluxe Rooms

Garden Suites
Our garden suites are situated on the other side of the lodge in the beautiful landscaped gardens with views of the swimming pool. Each room can be made up as a double or twin. These rooms are newer and with more modern fittings compared to the rest of the lodge rooms. Room amenities include an en-suite bathroom with shower only, air-conditioning, minibar (stocked on request), bathroom amenities, bathrobes & slippers, TV with selected DSTV channels, wireless internet and tea & coffee making facilities.
