About Shikwaru Lodge

Nestled in the foothills of the picturesque Mokopane region, Shikwaru Lodge offers an authentic bush breakaway for the family. Guests can experience the extraordinary African bushveld in it’s undiluted glory.

Shikwaru is situated in the Waterberg mountain range biosphere in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The lodge is a mere 2 hour drive away from Johannesburg and is located 28 km southeast of Mokopane. It is home to more than 20 species of exceptional African mammals coupled with countless bird and reptile species. The availability of ample water ensures long term viability of all of the species.

Accommodation Options

Rafiki Bed and Breakfast
1 room with queen size bed, en suite bathroom and a kitchenette (some rooms are equipped with 2 single beds)
Watoto Luxury tents
2 rooms, one double bed (or twin beds) and one room with 2 twin beds with full bathroom and kitchenette Communal boma
Bass Camp
Fully equipped selfcatering cottage with an upstairs bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower and bath) with queen size bed and bunk bed. Downstairs: open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with sleeper couch and seperate bathroom. Solar and gas powered.
Kolobe Camp
3 units that can each sleep 4 people. Each unit equipped for selfcatering. Communal kitchen, dining room area with fire place as well as outside braai and patio. Available for groups.
Amani Camp
Amani has 4 units and is rented exclusively as a camp. Amani 1 - 2 single beds Amani 2 - 1 double bed and sleeper couch Amani 3 - 1 double bed and sleeper couch Amani 4 - double bed. Communal kitchen, dining room and boma/braai area. Swimming pool.
Rafiki Self-Catering
1 unit with two seperate rooms sharing a kitchen and a private braai area. Each room is equipped with its own en-suite bathroom.
