Located a little further from Nyala Safari Lodge along the banks of the seasonal Mohlabetsi River and in the same Big 5 reserve, one finds the private retreat of Nyala Sands.

This luxury lodge offers 4 secluded chalets set overlooking the sandy riverbed which attracts a variety of wildlife throughout the day and is ideal for those romantic getaways and friendly reunions. The lodge offers both catered or self-catered options. The rooms are spacious and feature ceiling fans, tea/coffee making facilities, private bathrooms, amenities and river bed views to name a few.

With a choice of 4 dining areas indoors and out, Nyala Sands offers a comfortable yet casual environment with an air of sophistication. All meals are prepared for guests each day in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen, using only fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Guests can also enjoy two professionally guided safaris each day in the Greater Kruger.
