About Ingwelala

Ingwelala ("The place where the leopard sleeps") is a privately owned shareblock nature reserve situated approximately 65 km from Hoedspruit in the heart of the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve, and borders the unfenced Kruger National Park and Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.

Accommodation Options

Hornbill Cottage

This guest cottage is available to Ingwelala Members only. It is an open plan rondavel with two single beds and small kitchen/dining area. There is a seperate bathroom with shower & toilet facilities. A braai is provided on the outside patio.

Francolin Cottage

This guest cottage is available to Ingwelala Members only. It has two bedrooms, each with 2 singles beds and a bathroom (shower & toilet). Facilities include a kitchen/dining area and an outside gazebo with braai.

Guineafowl Cottage

This guest cottage is available to Ingwelala Members only. One room offers a queen bed with en suite bathroom (bath & toilet). The other room has four single beds with a bathroom (shower & toilet). Facilities include a kitchen, dining area and gazebo.

Argyle Boma

This Boma is available to Ingwelala Members only. Suitable for afternoon/evening braais. NB: Only 1 booking per Share Block Unit will be allowed during peak times (Weekends, long weekends) in order to afford other Members the opportunity to book.

Beacon Boma

This Boma is available to Ingwelala Members only. Suitable for evening braai / overnighting. NB: Only 1 booking per Share Block Unit will be allowed during peak times (Weekends, long weekends) in order to afford other Members the opportunity to book.

The Platform

The Platform is available to Ingwelala Members only. Suitable for evening braai / overnighting. NB: Only 1 booking per Share Block Unit will be allowed during peak times (Weekends, long weekends) in order to afford other Members the opportunity to book.
