About Bloemhof Karoo Guesthouse
Bloemhof Karoo is a historic home, once owned and loved by Professor Christiaan Barnard. The Homestead rests graciously in an oasis amongst kopjes on a working farm in the Malaria free, Northern Cape, Great Karoo.Bloemhof Karoo has been sensitively restored to its former authentic self, and sleeps 7 guests comfortably in the main house (and 2 guests can be accommodated in the ‘Blue Room’ Cottage) Bloemhof is all about Karoo authenticity and hospitality, a charming country retreat where visitors are encouraged to soak up Karoo living, and leave behind city life, if only briefly.
