What is in a name? At Lions Rest Guest House our name entails two things. Firstly, as royalty, lions need to be part of a pride and secondly, lions live a lazy lifestyle.
In a nutshell this is what guests can expect when visiting Lions Rest. As a family owned business it is imperative that our guests feel at home and take a break from mental and physical exertion. Total rest of body and mind is compulsory.
Lions Rest offers you leisure accommodation with a country atmosphere in the heart of Gauteng. Wake up to the chattering birds and sound of a cascading waterfall.
The Guest House is separate from the main house and offers 24 luxurious en-suite bedrooms that are fully serviced and tastefully decorated.
We have a non-smoking policy in our bedrooms to provide a safe and smoke free environment to all our quests. However, the tranquil garden offers various thatched lapas to accommodate our smoking quests. A mouth-watering breakfast is included in the tariff and served in the Hungry Lion dining room. Dinner, prepared in a true South African home cooked way daily with fresh ingredients, can be pre-booked before 12 am daily.
Lions Rest also caters for the discerning business person who prefers to be close to the hustle and bustle of the city, but wishes to stay in tranquil surroundings. Each room has a small study table and access to our wireless internet facilities.
Security and privacy are of the utmost importance to us. High boundary walls with electric fencing and undercover secure parking will ensure your safety and peace of mind.
