Life on 3rd is a stylish guesthouse located in a leafy and tranquil corner of the cosmopolitan village of Melville, which is conveniently situated in the heart of the Johannesburg Metropolitan area, South Africa.

Guests can expect clean lines, earthy tones and a contemporary chic ambiance when staying at Life on 3rd. Our courtyard with casual outdoor seating offers guest the opportunity to soak up the African sun or take refuge under the umbrellas whilst enjoying a novel or just relaxing. Our conference facility, which is separate to the main house, is the ideal informal venue for meetings, workshops and functions.

Accommodation includes a warm English Breakfast, which is served daily from 7.00am - 9.00am in our communal dining room. Complimentary coffee & tea is available 24hrs in the dinning room.

Life on 3rd offers a laundry service, secure off-street parking and assists with booking airport transfers, taxi services, restaurant reservations, day tours and other activities.

Guests can look forward to a relaxed and peaceful stay in rooms decorated in a fresh understated style of white and earth tones with hints of red. Offering a choice of fourteen rooms of five different types of which some are in the main house or with private entrances. All rooms are equipped with the following:
