Idyllically positioned between the mirrored lake and indigenous forestry of Blue Mountain Lodge the ochre-washed Manor House is the newest addition to this ultimate experience of leisure and luxury which has become a legend in itself. Stone fireplaces reminiscent of historical chateaux and the finest of furnishings enhance the luxury and elegance of the sitting and dining area, flanked by romantically appointed bedrooms ( two suites in each Manor) and marbled bathrooms. One can enjoy the outdoor tranquility of the deep-set pillared verandahs or escape to the solitude of the polished Mahogany and leather clad study. A wooden deck offers spectacular views as the private swimming pool cascades to the lake below.

Set at the foot of the main building, where a sparkling fountain ushers its guests to havens of relaxation, are the 8 Victorian Suites. Each suite has a king-sized, extra length bed, except for suite number 8, which has two three-quarter beds. All suites have been individually decorated. Each suite boasts an en-suite bathroom with thick comfortable robes and slippers for guests after a long hot bubble bath in the tastefully decorated victorian style bath.

Four suites romantically set in a cobbled courtyard, with gallery bedrooms reminiscent of Castles and Camelot. These duplex rooms have a lounge, bathroom with separate bath, shower and toilet downstairs with a gallery bedroom upstairs. The style is provencal, overlooking the forest.

The Ballentine Suite or "The Presidential Suite" embraces a classical regency style. This Suite uncovers an elegantly furnished spacious lounge and majestic bedroom. A private plunge pool silently glistens over luscious forestry.

There are 4 Victorian Suites all housing king-sized, extra length beds except for Suite number 8, which has two three-quater beds. All suites and rooms have been individually decorated, making our decor unique in South Africa.

Blue Mountain’s privately owned Blue Spoon restaurant promises an extraordinary culinary experience. Every effort is made to match the beauty of the surrounding Mpumalanga countryside with friendly and superb service.
Nestled inside a lovely manor house complimented by views of litchi plantations, the Blue Spoon restaurant enjoys easy on the palate dishes layered with tasteful and exciting combinations.
The menu boasts Continental classics for breakfast (with champagne every day), lunch or dinner paired with an impressive wine list and stocked cellar.
We take full advantage of the fresh produce in season, combined with our home-grown herbs, vegetables and the farm’s 4000 avocado, 600 litchi and 300 coffee trees.
As with all aspects of the Lodge, the intention is to entertain our guests with our cuisine.

Perfection is achieved for the palate and the eye by combining opposing textures and tastes arranged in a pleasing composition. A five-course “table d’ote” menu is served, varying daily.

Special care is taken to ensure that all menus cater for the needs of our guests.
