When you choose Plaisir de Merle as your Cape Winelands wedding venue, The Bird Room presents the perfect ending to the perfect day. Beautifully appointed, with full bathroom en suite, the honeymoon suite is named The Bird Room which plays on the name of Plaisir de Merle (Pleasure of the Blackbird). The Protea Room and Tree Room both with 2 single beds share a communal bathroom. The Travel Room has its own quirky touches with ancient maps on the walls and cabin trunks as bedside tables.
The Manor House lounge with cosy fireplace presents the perfect hideaway to unwind in a comfortable armchair in front of the modern flat screen televisions, with its wide choice of DSTV channels, and a glass of Plaisir de Merle wine. Comfort beckons in the Manor House lounge in the shape of welcoming couches. A feature fire place lends a lovely ambience. Enjoy a stroll or afternoon cake and tea in the manicure gardens. Peace and privacy reign supreme in the inner courtyard, and on the veranda, wrapped around the front and side of the Manor House, with rolling lawns and views of the magnificent distant mountains.
