About L'Auberge Chanteclair
Chanteclair Guest House is nestled in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley. Just 75km from Cape Town City centre, historical Franschhoek is one of South Africa’s oldest settlements. The main house at Chanteclair is a tastefully converted farmhouse, situated in an exquisitely landscaped and tranquil garden setting, offering luxurious accommodation and delicious breakfasts. The main house has four double or twin rooms and two separate detached units, namely, Vine Cottage and The Studio. The rooms in the house are named after the trees adjacent to them in the garden, Jacaranda, Cork Oak, Prunus and Syringa. All the rooms are en-suite, some have a fireplace or under-floor heating and all have superb views either to the vineyards or the mountains.

Jacaranda Double/Twin King-size
Beautiful, large, high ceilinged room with a king-sized bed and sitting area. Pleasantly cool in the summer and has a log burning fire and under floor heating. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower.
Prunus Double/Twin King-size
This is a beautiful room with under floor heating. It has direct access to the front stoep and a fantastic mountain view. The en-suite bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Syringa Double/Twin King-size
Large king-sized or twin bedded room with a private terrace and direct access to the garden and the swimming pool. It has under floor heating. The en-suite bathroom has a walk in shower.
Cork Oak Double/Twin King-size
King-sized or twin bedded room with under floor heating. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and separate shower. The French doors lead to the garden with beautiful views.
The Studio Double
It is separate from the main house. It is a beautiful, airy peak-roofed room with beams and a reed ceiling. It has a queen-sized bed and the bathroom has a shower. Lounge with log burning fire. Outside barbecue area with incredible views.
Vine Cottage Double/Twin King-size
Charming cottage with a king-sized bed, bathroom with walk in shower. The separate lounge has a log burning fire and under floor heating with a small dining area. French doors open onto a private patio.
Jasmine/Single
Single Bed. Beautifully decorated with walk in shower.
